How our technology supports sustainability
PMA’s advanced instrumentation, like the ID-200 Interface Detector, is engineered not only for accuracy and efficiency but also to promote responsible environmental stewardship. By improving separation control, automating tank dewatering and reducing hydrocarbon losses, our solutions contribute directly to:
- Lower emissions
- Reduced chemical usage
- Cleaner water discharge
- Safer plant operations
Measure smarter. Treat water responsibly.
Royce Aqua gives water and wastewater treatment teams the reliable process information they need to make informed operational decisions. From MLSS and total suspended solids to sludge blanket depth, our portable measurement solutions help you understand changing conditions, improve process visibility and support more responsible water treatment.
Frequently asked questions
We’re here to help. Learn how Royce Aqua supports environmental monitoring, water treatment operations and more informed process decisions.
Royce Aqua helps treatment teams monitor important process conditions such as total suspended solids, MLSS and sludge blanket depth. Access to reliable field measurements can support better-informed process adjustments, more consistent treatment and responsible resource management.
The Royce Aqua 22 is suitable for water and wastewater treatment applications including activated sludge processes, settlement tanks, clarifiers, sludge holding tanks and industrial effluent treatment.
The Aqua 22 has two operating modes. TSS mode measures total suspended solids in mg/L and can be used for MLSS checks. Level mode helps operators identify the sludge interface and measure sludge blanket depth.
Regular solids and sludge blanket measurements can help operators understand process conditions and identify changes across tanks or treatment stages. This information can support more targeted operational decisions and reduce reliance on assumptions.
Yes. Aqua 22 readings can be saved against nine internal locations. The instrument also supports compatible microSD cards for recording data in CSV format, making it easier to transfer readings for operational records and further analysis.
Yes. The Aqua 22 has been designed for field use in water treatment environments. The handheld analyser is rated IP65, while the sensor is rated IP68 and is designed to be immersed during measurement. The handheld unit itself must not be submerged.
The Aqua 22 is designed as a portable operational measurement tool. It provides immediate field readings that can support day-to-day process decisions. Required laboratory analysis, compliance sampling and regulatory testing should still be completed according to the procedures that apply to your site.
